The Maceo takes that original recipe, a silky Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper over Dominican binder and long-filler tobacco grown on the Gomez family's own La Canela estate, and presents it in a compact 5 x 48 Robusto, noticeably smaller and more manageable than the brand's Churchill-sized Mambises or the larger Maximo and Gobernador vitolas in the same line. Critically, this blend is ligero-free, a genuine departure from nearly everything else LFD produces, which is exactly why the flavor stays smooth and approachable without ever tipping toward the peppery intensity the brand is famous for.
